2026 Highlights

Inspiring Film Screenings

Get motivated at two film documentary screenings at the Expo. We’re showing The Long Path: A Journey of Becoming and Best Day Ever, following two adaptive mountain bikers in Vermont – on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Long Path: A Journey of Becoming – It’s human nature to try and pretend things are okay in times of struggle. That used to be the case for New Jersey runner and Sassquad Trail Running race director Kim Levinsky. Through her attempt to set the Fastest Known Time on the relatively unknown 358-mile NYS Long Path, Kim unravels her journey from reluctantly starting therapy to becoming a mental health advocate in her community. Come for the 40-minute film and stay for Q&A with Kim. Saturday, 3/14 at 2-3:30pm and Sunday, 3/15 at 12:30-2pm. More info and trailer: thelongpathfilm.com.

Best Day Ever – This powerful new documentary (40 minutes) – a 2025 Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival award-winner – celebrates resilience, connection, and the beauty of finding joy even in the hardest moments. Through breathtaking storytelling and raw emotion, it reminds us that hope can rise in the most unexpected places. Don’t miss this unforgettable journey and be inspired to see the world, and yourself, with new eyes. Saturday, 3/14 at 12:30-2pm and Sunday, 3/15 at 2-3:30pm. More info and trailer: bestdayever.mov.

NYS Canal Corporation will be bringing their large-scale model working lock which demonstrates how a full-size canal lock operates – fun for children and adults. While you’re on the canal, learn more about the Erie, Champlain, Oswego and Cayuga-Seneca canals.

Ben & Jerry’s will be serving hand dipped scoops and prepackaged bars from their ice cream cart.

Go for a Shakeout Run or Walk

From the Saratoga Springs City Center, join Neighbor Running and Mizuno on Sunday at 9am for a 5K shakeout run, jog or walk in Saratoga Springs. All are welcome.
