Three-time Olympian biathlete Curt Schreiner (’88, ’92, ’94) and his wife, Olympic biathlete Deb Nordyke (’98) will share their Olympic memories and memorabilia, and will also answer your questions about the Olympics.

2:00-2:45    Cross-Country Ski Equipment & Waxing Clinic. Three-time Olympic biathlete Curt Schreiner and representatives of the Blue Streaks Nordic Booster Club will lead a clinic on how to properly select cross-country ski equipment and how to wax for both skating and classic ski techniques.

3:00-3:45    Snowshoe Racing & Hiking. Learn more about snowshoe running and walking events, as well as training, technique and why it’s a fun, aerobic workout. If you’re interested in longer distances with moderate climbing, we’ll discuss snowshoe hiking, snowshoe designs, and hiking tips.

4:00-4:45    Backcountry Ski Touring 101. A guide to backcountry skiing with hints on technique and preparedness. Plus, coverage of equipment choice, uphill tricks, downhill tricks, other challenges and safety issues. This is the wilderness in winter, and you are a visitor to a magical place.
